Lonnie D. Seabolt

Lonnie D. Seabolt, age 85 of Hobart was called home on Sunday, February 17, 2013. He was born on September 16, 1927 in Roane County, West Virginia to the late Lonnie and Sarah Seabolt. Lonnie was a Hobart resident since 1965. He retired from LTV Steel in 1990 where he had worked as a Coil Bander. He served as a Crossing Guard at St Bridget’s School for 15 years. Lonnie was a member of the Portage Bible Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 62 years, Betty L. Seabolt (Nee Martin) of Hobart, IN; 2 sons, Steven (Jan) Seabolt of Portage, IN; Randall (Diana) Seabolt of Monticello, IN; 2 brothers, Raymond (Paula) Seabolt and Charles Seabolt both of West Virginia; 5 grandchildren, Jeremy (Christina) Seabolt, Randall Seabolt II, Jeff (Jackie) Seabolt, Brian Seabolt, and Kelly (Mark) Jonkman, 10 great-grandchildren, Dakota, Callie, Noah, Josh, Brayden, Dean, Abbey, Emma, Matthew, and (Kale in heaven).

He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, James, Ira, Carl, and Romie Seabolt, and 3 sisters, Emma Baldwin, Edna Lambert, and Shirley Davis.

Funeral services are Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Pastor Ron Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
