Illona H. Greer, age 89, of Lake Station passed away February 22, 2013 at SMMC in Hobart. Illona was a homemaker, mother and wife. She was born October 21, 1923 in Gary, Indiana to the late Henry and Ella Jahn. She is survived by her three children Janice Greer Whistler of Michigan, James Greer, Jr. of Lake Station and Gary (Rebekah) Greer of Texas; four grandchildren Scott (Michelle) Whistler, David Whistler, Jessica (Peter) Gage and Angela Greer (Fiance Jason); two sisters Shirlyann Clemens and Jeanne (Dan) Hammond; and four great grandchildren. Funeral services for Illona will be conducted Wednesday February 27, 2013 at 10 AM at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, IN with Rev. Ryan McDowell officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the funeral Home.
