Ronald Leroy Beahm, age 75 of Hobart passed away, Saturday, March 2, 2013. He was born on October 29, 1937 in Montello, Wisconsin to the late Gordon and Evelyn Beahm. He served his country in the the U.S. Army 113th Engineer Batallion in Germany. He was a member of the Hobart Loyal Order of the Moose, #783 and of the Hobart American Legion, Post 54.. Ronald retired from LTV Steel. He loved gardening and enjoyed sharing his harvest with family and friends. Ronald also enjoyed fishing and going to Wisconsin. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirlee K. Beahm (Nee Dye) of Hobart, IN; 1 son, Darrell D. (Joy) Beahm of Clinton, IN; 1 daughter, Yvonne (Jeff) Davis of Hobart, IN; 3 brothers, Richard (Donna) Beahm of Montello, IN; Robert (Sandy) Beahm of Montello, WI; Russell (Kim) Beahm of Montello, WI; 2 sisters, Barbara (Herbert) Scharenberg of Montello, WI; Virginia (Mike) Kallas of Princeton, WI; 3 grandchildren, Bradley, Jennifer, and Ashley, 3 great-grandchildren, Jason, Landon, and Leah, and his dog, Mandie. In lieu of flowers memorials in Ronald’s honor may be made to the American Heart Association. Funeral services are Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Dr. Warren Haynes officiating. Entombment will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, IN. Visitation is Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel with a 7 p.m. American Legion Service.
